Postdoctoral position in neurosciences <\/strong><\/p>\n

Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Application is open for a postdoctoral position at \u201cVictor Babes\u201d National Institute of Pathology, Bucharest (Romania) in the frame of the project \u201cKnowledge transfer in redox biology for developing advanced molecular tools in neurodegenerative diseases – focus on the signature of Nrf2 transcription factor in diagnosis and therapy\u201d acronym REDBRAIN, project ID P_37_732, co-financed by the  COMPETITIVENESS OPERATIONAL PROGRAMME 2014-2020, PRIORITY AXIS 1 \u2013 RESEARCH, TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION (RD&I) TO SUPPORT ECONOMIC COMPETITIVENESS AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, Action 1.1.4 Attracting high-level personnel from abroad in order to enhance the RD capacity.<\/p>\n

The project is implemented in \u201cVictor Babes\u201d National Institute of Pathology, Bucharest, Romania between 01.09.2016 and 31.08.2020 under the coordination of Prof. Antonio Cuadrado (Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain), and has a budget of 1.915.000 Euro.<\/p>\n

The successful applicant will investigate the relevance of the transcription factors NRF2 and NF-kB as biomarkers of disease progression in preclinical models of Alzheimer\u2019s disease (AD), and as prognostic and monitoring biomarkers in white blood cells of AD patients and controls.<\/p>\n

  2. Technical expertise in animal models, cellular and\/or molecular biology;<\/li>\n
